# How do I connect my Instagram account to my Youdji profile?

If you offer **Whitelisting / Partnership Ads** services, you can connect your Instagram account to your Youdji profile to make collaborating with brands easier.

## What are Whitelisting / Partnership Ads?

**Whitelisting**, also known as *Partnership Ads* on Instagram, allows brands to run ads using your identity as a creator.
In practice, a brand can promote content using your Instagram account identity instead of its own. This allows brands to create more authentic ads while benefiting from your image and credibility with your audience.

**Good to know:** Connecting your Instagram account to Youdji does not automatically give brands permission to run ads on your behalf. You remain in control of the advertising permissions you grant them.

## Before you get started
### You need a professional Instagram account

To connect your Instagram account to Youdji, it must be set up as one of the following:
* **Creator account:** Designed for content creators and influencers.
* **Business account:** Designed for brands, businesses, and professionals.
**Personal Instagram accounts cannot be connected to Youdji.**

If you have a personal account, you'll first need to switch to a professional account in your Instagram settings.

Switching is free, and you'll keep your existing posts, followers, and username.

### If you have multiple Instagram accounts

If you use multiple Instagram accounts, such as a personal account and a creator account, make sure you select the correct one when connecting to Youdji.
**Always sign in using your professional Instagram account's username (@handle), not your email address.**

The same email address can be associated with multiple Instagram accounts. Using your email address to sign in may cause you to select the wrong account or encounter connection errors.

## How to connect your Instagram account

1. Go to your **Youdji profile**.
2. Open your **profile settings**.
3. In the **Instagram** section, click **Connect my Instagram account**.
4. On the Instagram login page, sign in using your **professional account's username** and password.
5. Make sure the correct Instagram account is selected, then follow Meta's instructions to authorize the connection.

Once you've authorized the connection, your Instagram account will be linked to your Youdji profile.

## I'm having trouble connecting my Instagram account

If you're having trouble connecting your account, try the following:
1. **Check your account type.** Your Instagram account must be a Creator or Business account. Personal accounts are not supported.
2. **Use your username.** Sign in with your Instagram @handle instead of your email address.
3. **Check which account is selected.** If you have multiple Instagram accounts, make sure you're connecting the correct one. You can also try signing out of your other Instagram accounts in your browser before trying again.
4. **Try using a computer.** If the connection isn't working on your phone, open Youdji on a computer and try again. This may help avoid certain Instagram authentication issues on mobile devices.

Once you've checked these points, return to your Youdji profile settings and try connecting again.

## How do I disconnect my Instagram account?

You can disconnect your Instagram account from Youdji at any time through your **profile settings**.
**Important:** Disconnecting your Instagram account from Youdji does not necessarily revoke advertising permissions you've granted directly to brands. These permissions must be managed separately through Meta's tools.
