How to Cancel an Ongoing Order with a Creator?

The creator is no longer responding? Have you changed your mind and want to cancel an order?

If you placed an order on Youdji and wish to cancel it, here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Ask the creator to cancel the order

On Youdji, creators can cancel their own orders. The first step is to explain your situation to them and ask them to cancel the order.

If the creator hasn’t started working on the project, there’s no reason they should refuse.

Once the order is canceled, you will be fully refunded via your original payment method. Please note that it may take several days for the refund to appear in your bank account.

Step 2: The creator is not responding or refuses to cancel the order

Case 1: The creator is not responding

If the creator does not respond, please contact our support team, and we will review the situation.

Case 2: The creator refuses to cancel the order

If the creator refuses to cancel the order, it is likely for legitimate reasons. We understand that collaborations can sometimes fall short of expectations. However, we also believe that completed work deserves to be paid for.

To ensure a professional collaboration and avoid misunderstandings, please keep the following points in mind:

Clear and complete instructions: Creators rely on your directions to produce unique content. They cannot be held responsible if crucial information was omitted, if you change your mind mid-project, or if you chose to give them creative freedom.
Choosing the right creator: Carefully review the creators' portfolios before making your selection. The content they produce for you will be similar to what’s showcased in their portfolio, so you shouldn’t encounter surprises.
Coordination with your client: If you’re an agency, make sure to validate the creator’s profile and all instructions with your client. Since the creator will not have direct contact with your client, you are responsible for managing this relationship.
Custom content: Every piece of content is tailored to your specific needs. Because you selected the creator and provided the instructions, orders are not covered by a "satisfaction or your money back" policy. Creators may choose to offer this policy at their discretion.
Revisions: Revisions should be limited to targeted adjustments, whether it’s the script, editing, or visuals. A complete overhaul of the script or major changes do not qualify as a revision but constitute a new service. To avoid confusion, provide clear and detailed instructions from the start.

Before contacting us, we recommend discussing the situation directly with the creator to find an amicable resolution. In most cases, disputes can be resolved by agreeing on an additional fee for the extra work required.

If no agreement can be reached, we will need to open a dispute.

Since Youdji is not directly involved in content creation, we only issue refunds under two conditions:

The delivered content is unusable: the audio is missing or of very poor quality, the video quality is severely degraded, etc.
The creator did not fulfill the terms of the order or contract: for example, you ordered two videos, but only one was delivered, or the creator failed to follow your script or instructions at all.
