How to Get Collaborations?

How can I get more collaborations on Youdji? How can I rank higher in the search engine?

Haven't landed your first collaboration on Youdji yet? You're in the right place.

Getting your first collaborations is often the hardest part, especially if you're in a highly competitive category (for example, female creators between 18 and 30 years old). Unfortunately, there is no magic solution, but the tips below will help you improve your visibility and increase your chances of being contacted by brands.

How can brands find you?

Brands can discover your profile on Youdji in four different ways:

  1. By using the search engine, which lists every creator on the platform.
  2. By browsing the Discovery section, which showcases UGC videos from creators' portfolios.
  3. By reviewing the applications you submit to campaigns you've been invited to join.
  4. By visiting your profile link directly. Don't hesitate to share it on your social media, in your email signature, or with your clients.

How can you increase your chances of being contacted?

1. Complete your profile

The quality of your profile is the single most important factor for your visibility on Youdji. The more complete your profile is, the easier it is for brands to find you and trust your work.

Make sure you have:

  • A clear, professional profile picture.
  • A portfolio with recent, diverse, and representative UGC videos.
  • Complete information for every video (category, product type, format, tone, language, etc.). This information helps brands find you when using the search engine.
  • A clear and detailed bio describing your personality, interests, and areas of expertise. For example: "Passionate guitarist, father of two, and motorcycle enthusiast."
  • Your onboarding completed 100%.

The more complete your profile is, the more visibility it will receive in search results.

You can also take inspiration from the profiles of our top creators to see what makes an effective profile.

2. Adjust your rates when you're getting started

When you're new to the platform, you don't have any reviews or completed orders yet. All else being equal, brands will often choose a creator who already has positive reviews.

To secure your first collaborations more quickly, consider offering rates that are slightly lower than your usual prices. This can help you land your first projects and collect your first reviews.

Once you've built your reputation, you can gradually increase your rates.

3. Get your first reviews

Reviews are extremely important. They build trust with brands and improve your ranking in the search engine.

When you're just starting out, getting your first review is often the biggest challenge. To speed things up, we recommend inviting your existing clients to work with you through Youdji.

  • If your client doesn't have a Youdji account yet, your first collaboration together is commission-free.
  • If your client already has a Youdji account, the standard 20% commission applies.

In both cases, you'll benefit from all of Youdji's features (secure payments, briefs, messaging, contracts, and more) while collecting reviews that can significantly improve your profile's visibility.

You can invite as many clients as you like.

4. Make sure you're available

Check that your profile is marked as Available. If your status is set to Unavailable, brands won't be able to contact you.

You can also perform a quick check by searching for your first name in the search engine to make sure your profile appears correctly.

Can I contact brands directly?

No.

On Youdji, only brands can start conversations. Creators cannot initiate contact with brands.

This approach prevents mass outreach and ensures that brands only receive applications and inquiries that are relevant to their needs.

How do I receive campaigns?

Some brands publish campaigns that creators can apply to.

You'll automatically receive campaign invitations by email whenever a campaign matches your profile, including factors such as:

  • your country;
  • the languages you speak;
  • your rates;
  • your profile categories;
  • your content style.

However, campaigns represent only a small percentage of all collaborations on Youdji. The vast majority of collaborations begin when a brand discovers a creator through the search engine.

If you rarely receive campaigns, it may be because:

  • your rates are above the average campaign budget;
  • your profile targets a niche audience (for example, you live in Germany but primarily create content in Spanish);
  • there are currently very few campaigns matching your profile.

It isn't possible to browse every active campaign on Youdji. You only receive campaigns that genuinely match your profile, helping you avoid irrelevant opportunities and unnecessary applications.

In summary

To maximize your chances of getting collaborations:

  • complete your profile 100%;
  • regularly add new content to your portfolio;
  • adjust your rates when you're just getting started;
  • invite your existing clients to collect your first reviews;
  • make sure your profile is marked as available.

Over time, as you collect positive reviews and keep your profile up to date, your visibility will naturally improve, leading to more collaboration opportunities.
